In the massive wake surrounding the record-breaking box office of “Twilight,” Robert Pattinson mania has swept through Hollywood and made the charismatic Brit one of its most in-demand young actors. His busy schedule has put him on magazine covers and had him touring all over the world and making public appearances to rioting crowds.
Now, however, Twilighters have one less place where they’ll be able to find their beloved RPattz: on the set of his next movie.
MTV News has exclusively confirmed that Pattinson is dropping out of “Parts per Billion,” the eagerly anticipated indie film he was scheduled to begin shooting in Los Angeles this month. Although co-star/producer Rosario Dawson had expressed enthusiasm about working with the “Twilight” heartthrob as recently as December 16, a representative for Pattinson confirmed that he is no longer involved.
“What you heard is correct,” the 22-year-old star’s agent, Nicholas Frenkel, replied to an MTV News query Tuesday (January 6). “Unfortunately, the prep time and production schedule on ‘New Moon’ haven’t left enough time for Robert to work on ‘Parts per Billion’ in the first quarter of this year.”
The news is sure to sadden Pattinson’s army of fans, who have been tracking the development of the film for months and were eagerly anticipating his reportedly steamy love scenes to be shot with actress Olivia Thirlby (“Juno”). The ensemble film, which tells the story of several different lives being impacted by the same catastrophic event, will now need to quickly recast the role if shooting is to remain on schedule.
Pattinson’s fans might also be interested that his rep cited the pending “New Moon” shoot as the actor’s reason for having to leave “Billion.” With that much-anticipated “Twilight” sequel not scheduled to get cameras rolling until March, it now seems highly unlikely that RPattz will be able to squeeze in a movie before he returns to the role of Edward Cullen — leaving his fans with only “Little Ashes” and “How to Be” in the can. Pattinson shot both films before his “Twilight” breakthrough.

Lucas Grabeel gets covered in food galore in this short introduction of his independent film, The Adventures of Food Boy.
The 24-year-old actor stars as Ezra, a boy with the super power to make food appear in his hands. He jokingly says, as food is thrown at him, “You see, when food starts being thrown out, people get hurt and feelings get smashed and it’s not very funny at all.”
The Adventures of Food Boy, now available on DVD, also stars The Suite Life of Zack and Cody’s Brittany Curran and HSM’s McCall Clark and Ryne Sanborn.

iCarly stars Jennette Mccurdy and Nathan Kress are ready to take their bickering-friends relationship to a whole new level.The duo (both 16) who star as Sam and Freddy on Nick’s hit show, iCarly, will welcome in the first new episode of the new year with a kiss. Jennette dished to Tiger Beat, “We did the scene four times! I was trying not to count how many times I kissed Nathan, because I knew the bigger deal I made out of it, the harder it would be. But after doing it four times, I just knew how to get it done. You do what you got to do.”
In the next new episode, Sam (McCurdy) overhears Freddy (Kress) make a confession that he’s never been kissed, and she reveals this secret on Carly’s Web show. The new episode of iCarly airs Saturday, January 3rd, 2009 @ 8PM ET/PT on Nick!

Following months of speculation that 16 year-old Miley Cyrus had outgrown her cable TV roots and was attempting to leave her tween-cult hit “Hannah Montana,” the Disney Channel announced Tuesday that young consumers can expect more episodes of the show, complete with soundtracks and affordably priced merchandising.
According to Disney Channel president Gary Marsh tuesday, “The talent behind ‘Hannah Montana’ has made it a true global sensation and cultural icon not just on television, where it topped the ratings on Disney Channels around the globe, but as a chart-topping music act and beyond.”
It has become part of the global cultural lexicon for kids, parents and families everywhere,” added Marsh, who went on to announce the production of additional episodes to the series’ third season, already underway.
Responding to accusations posited by TMZ in September, Cyrus denied reports she had been “ridiculously late” in arriving for tapings of the show, in what was described as an attempt to weasel out of her contract with Disney

It’s the nastiest teen feud in Hollywood and even spills over into country music and Nashville, reports the National Enquirer. “Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus has teamed up with country cutie Taylor Swift against Disney starlet Selena Gomez in a complicated three-way catfight – over the Jonas Brothers, the report claims.

A war of words between Selena and Taylor erupted over Taylor’s ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas, and now Miley – the ex of Joe’s younger brother Nick – is taking some shots. The mag reports that in Taylor’s new song “Forever & Always”, the 18 year old spills her heart out over how her relationship with Joe abruptly ended.

When Selena, 16, released a statement saying “if a boy hurts me, I don’t write a song about it,” the magazine claimed that Taylor knew it was a slap directed at her – and that’s when Miley jumped in, sources spill to Enquirer. They have this quote from the insider source:
“Miley and Selena have been at each other’s throats since Selena began dating Nick in May…and when Miley heard Selena was attacking one of her closest friends, she bombarded her with nasty text messages and e-mails.” Who wins this one?
