Selena Gomez and the Jonas Brothers inspire Disney clothing line

Back-to-school shopping can be a difficult time for parents and kids. Parents often have trouble navigating the current styles that kids, tweens, and teens want to wear. There are several choices for parents that range from wiping their hands of it, setting a budget, and letting kids buy what they will to giving a detailed list of what is and isn’t ok for kids to buy and wear (extreme low-rise jeans, anyone?). Luckily, the good folks at Disney know an opportunity when they see one and this Thursday they are showing an online fashion show to launch their new clothing line inspired by the channel’s hit shows with Selena Gomez and The Jonas Brothers.

Disney will air their virtual fashion show Thursday on YouTube. Parents and kids can head to www.youtube.com/DisneyLiving to watch the models hit the runway in clothing that kids might recognize from the shows ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ and ‘Jonas.’ The Disney Back-to-School 2009 Virtual Fashion Show will give parents a chance to see age-appropriate clothing that is not only stylish, but won’t break the bank, either. The clothing line will hit stores like J.C. Penney, K-Mart, Sears, and WalMart.

The Jonas Brothers announced in March that they would be designing a line of clothing for girls called simply “Jonas.” The clothes are described as “preppy collegiate” and are similar to what clothes are seen on the show. As for the clothes stemming from ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ with Gomez, those fashions are said to be “boho chic.”
