MICHAEL Jackson’s daughter has broken down giving a touching tribute to her father at his memorial service in Los Angeles, where the pop icon was remembered as the “greatest entertainer who ever lived”.
Jackson’s children joined all other performers at the memorial to sing We Are The World and Heal The World towards the end of the two-hour service.
Jackson’s daugher Paris, 11, then burst into tears as she said: “Ever since I was born, daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. And I just want to say I love him so much.”
Jackson’s brother Marlon said Michael was now, at last, at peace. “We will never understand what he endured … being judged, ridiculed. How much pain can one take? Maybe, now, Michael, they will leave you alone.”
Jackson’s sister Janet led Paris – who was still sobbing uncontrollably - off stage as Jackson’s brothers, each wearing a single, sequined glove, closed the service.
Jackson’s burial place was not immediately known. A reporter at the Staples Centre said the family had gone to a Los Angeles hotel for a wake.
