A demi-provocative Miley Cyrus appears in the August issue of Elle magazine, touting her new clothing line and explaining her relationship with some of her teen idol cohorts.
“The jeans are my favorite part of the entire line,” Cyrus said of her new Wal-mart clothing line. “Because, like, literally this is going to be good for, like Middle America, and it will be great for kids that really want to be in fashion but that don’t have it available.” Not the kindest of words for her potential customers, but hey, it’s … hopeful. According to the “Hannah Montana” star, there will be “a lot of peasanty, flowy tops, hippie and loose and sexy, like boho chill mixed with English-rocker-esque. Plaids, studs, rips, cool colors.” She added, “I would pay $500 for the jeans that we make for $20. I’m really into high fashion.”
And she’s probably still really into Nick Jonas, too.
She told Elle magazine that it’s difficult finding friends when you’re in the business: “It’s hard for all of us. That’s why me and Nick are so close, and me and Demi Lovato are so close. There are so many people that could be using you. So me and Nick and Demi, we don’t need anything from each other. We got our own thing going on.”
Cyrus revealed during a live chat last weekend that the pair had a bet going about how the audience would react to her surprise duet at the Jonas Brothers’ tour opener in Dallas. “He won,” Cyrus said. “They simply went crazy right away.” Cyrus admitted she thought the crowd “would gasp, be silent, and start shouting after a minute.”
On the subject of Nick Jonas, Nick told Time Out New York recently that he hopes “to go to college one day to study English literature.” Well, a Perez Hilton spy reported seeing Nick visiting Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois on Monday.
Likewise, sixteen-year-old Nick said in a March press conference that he had his eye on Northwestern: “I would definitely love to go to college. I’ve always talked about going to school at Northwestern in Chicago and I think that would be a lot of fun.”
The youngest Jonas Brothers member recently graduated from high school.
